Xbox 360 now supporting 2TB hard drives

4.6
Microsoft announced that the next update for Xbox 360 Preview Program members will allow the use of 2TB hard drives. The update will later move to those not in the Preview Program later this year. Adding to this, they will also no longer reserve space in advance on your hard drive.

Microsoft does note that some drives may be incompatible or have performance issues.

"The next update for Xbox 360 Preview Program members will allow the use of 2TB hard drives to store Xbox 360 data. If you are not part of the Preview program you will get this functionality later this year. In addition we will also no longer reserve space in advance on your hard drive."

Note: Some drives may be incompatible or have performance issues. If you already have space reserved for storing Xbox 360 data, you will need to clear the Xbox 360 storage to gain full access to the drive. If you are in the Preview program, please review the list of known issues before formatting your drive.

Not saying it's a bad thing but I don't really think you need 2TBs of storage on a xb360 maybe for xbox one but not 360 just think it's a bit over kill

Hibbert How much are they? That would be nice.

That depends on the brand. Most are over 100$ though.

to everyone whining about xbox one "not supporting hdds," um you can attach any usb3 hdd as long as its 256gb or bigger. i added a 2tb hdd and iv'e seen a few 5-6tb hdds on xbox ones, plus they will usually load faster than the stock hdd

STFBLACKFOX 2tb needs to be on the xbox one not the 360 the xbox one is where games are 30-50 gb per games if you get a 500gb xbox 360 you will be perfect with that unless your download tv seasons on your hard drive and most companies have stated that they arent even focusing on ps3 and xbox 360 consoles no more

I agree you would think they would promote there new console.
