'Guitar Hero' gets born again with a new look and a new controller

Unlike the rebooted Rock Band, Guitar Hero Live has remodeled its guitar controllers with two rows of three tightly grouped black and white keys. You can read our hands-on impressions here.

Avatars have also been replaced for a completely different look. The game hopes to create a live atmosphere, with actors and tightly edited footage instead of cartoon music venues.

The game is pencilled in for an Autumn release and an RRP in the US of $99 on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

Bands already confirmed for Guitar Hero Live are: The Black Keys, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Gary Clark, Jr., Green Day, Ed Sheeran, The War on Drugs, The Killers, Skrillex, The Rolling Stones, The Lumineers, Pierce the Veil and Blitz Kids.

I am 100% getting this, without a doubt, regardless of cost. This is going to be amazing. I can't wait. Skrillex on GH will be hilarious and I can't wait to jam to FOB and MyChem again.

Reverence I don't get how all of you are "excited" for this, I think you all just want a comment on here for the badge. This game isn't like the originals at all, company's these days are just ruining classics left and right.

I think the fact A LOT of people used to have this and probably haven't played it in a long time... Therefore like me, are excited to see the new one.

So what would you expect them to do to advance the game? Just include different songs, like every single other guitar hero/rock band sequel?

If you wanted to play the classics, go and play any of the already released ones.
This is a genuine step forward with the game...
