Xbox Live Goes Down Yet Again, Lizard Squad Claims Responsibility

Xbox Live social services including friend list, party chat and logging in are currently suffering from connectivity issues on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

At the time of writing the Xbox Live Status page does not currently reflect the problems, but we can confirm that the service is having difficulties.

The Xbox Support Twitter did acknowledge service problems as well as down detector.

Xbox Live and PSN took a hit last year when the Lizard Squad were running rampant but it seems the group is back to their old tricks once again.

gee, once again lizard squad has done something to xbox live and microsoft cant do anything to fix this. Microsoft really needs to step up. Although I haven't been kicked off once this went down it must suck for everyone else.

It seems like its been about a years now that I've been hearing about Lizard Squad doing these kind of DDoS attacks and I'm surprised they haven't been caught yet. Its impressive but I wish they'd stop already or at least give us a clear reason as to why they do these things. Do they want to send a message to us gamers, telling us to stop playing video games and to go outside, to enjoy the real world? Or is it just for attention? If it's the former, I hope they realize that people use video games as an escape from real life. I go to school, I workout, I run, and if I get this new job then I'll still hope to play some video games when I get some free time to relax when I get home. If the servers are down and I can't play Destiny for example, then I won't be encouraged to go outside, as I'll already be tired. Therefore, Lizard Squad has to be either be doing this for attention/fun or for some reason I really wish they'd announce already.

It's funny how Everytime lizard squad says they hit xboxlive offline in still online playing games lizard squad is all talk lol maybe the 360 is having issues but I haven't had any on the xbox one
