Xbox Live down: Xbox One and Xbox 360 hit by issues

Social and Gaming are listed as limited on the Xbox Live status page, on the eve of a free online multiplayer weekend for Xbox 360 fans.

Current issues include: Creating new accounts on Xbox Live, managing those accounts, recovering an account on a different device and signing into Xbox Live.

The Netflix app meanwhile is currently listed as being offline, alongside YouTube on the Xbox Live status page.

The official Xbox support account on Twitter explained: "Having troubles connecting & signing into Xbox Live? Our teams are on the case.

"If you’re having difficulties signing up for an Xbox Live account, or if you’re an existing user, and you can’t manage your account preferences or payment info, we want you to know where working to address this as well.

-Drips Microsoft really need to make better security for their Xbox services as this happens a lot and people like Lizard Squad can control it whenever they want as they always seem to boot Xbox Live offline whenever they want to.

"Lizard Squad" was a bunch of angry 12 year olds who took advantage (or a good guess) at Xbox and PSNs servers going down. They literally did nothing but take credit for high traffic.

Jordie farmed followers with Unwaterings and that was it, lol.

Yeah but only some people are affected and when things like this happen Microsoft fix the problem straight away. Xbox users need to appreciate the fact that Microsoft isnt Sony.


True, Sony always has CCs being leaked along with username info and stuff. That kinda sucks a lot. Xbox has it pretty easy in comparison.
