Call of Duty: Black Ops III Announced for PS3 and Xbox 360

Activision just announced with a blog post that Call of Duty: Black Ops III will actually come to PS3 and Xbox 360 on top of the previously announced PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions.

Beenox and Mercenary Technology are the studios working on the old-gen ports.

There will be differences with the current generation version: the campaign co-op mode will only allow two players instead of four on PS3 and Xbox 360, while “some other features and functionality” will also not be included, as they’re built specifically for the new generation of platforms.

The upcoming beta will also be available only on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

As a bit of a punch in the gut for Wii U owners (at least the fifteen that actually care about Call of Duty, I guess), the announcement explicitly specifies that there is no version of the game planned for Nintendo’s console.

Move on from the older consoles and focus more on improving the game for current gen users. Will never progress otherwise.

Strongly disagree with this move, it's time to leave the older generations behind so we can improve the games for current gen and PC. And if Treyarch had of done it I'm sure newer games would have followed suit. But no, all they care about is money.

Well Treyarch are focusing mainly on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC version. The previous generation console version is just being ported by another company.

I don't disagree, I see what your saying Fomous but it's gives them more money that all they care about

Thank you so much for being on the Xbox 360. I wanted at least one more Treyarch COD before COD was only for the Xbox One and the PS4. I am fine if next year COD does not come to the Xbox 360 or PS3.
