During Bethesda's E3 press conference today, Todd Howard took the stage to present a substantial gameplay demo for Fallout 4 you can find the videos below along with details we know so far.

• Story begins pre-apocalypse.
• You can create a female character!
• Select specific facial features and sculpt in real time; no sliders
• Nuka Cola in the fridge.
• Vault-Tech sales rep comes to the door to pitch you to come to a vault.
• Recorded 1,000 names to be said in game.
• S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system is back for determining attributes.
• You emerge 200 years later as the sole survivor of vault 111.

• Built on the next generation of their "Creation Engine"
• Conversation choices are mapped to face buttons, no scrolling through options.
• Dialogue, and everything else can be done in first or third person.
• Dog companion can be ordered around by pointing at objects and giving contextual commands such as picking up items, attacking enemies, and activating switches.
• VATS returns, looks very similar to Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas iteration.
• Molerats
• Pipboy returns. Fully animated. You can find game tapes to play on it. Games copyrighted 2053. Donkey Kong clone, Missile Defense clone sighted.
• Real life Pipboy included in collector's edition! Can hold your smartphone, and will have a companion app.

Crafting in general has been overhauled. All the items you can pick up in a Bethesda game now have a purpose beyond trash loot; you cna take them apart for parts to sue in crafting. the crafting menu shows you where you can find the items you need for particular crafting results.

As for what you're crafting, there are over 700 permutations of weapons, so you can craft scopes, stocks, magazines and even entirely new weapons. You'll also be able to modify your power armour with this system.

Bethesda has announced a new Fallout game for iOS is available right now and its Called Fallout Shelter.

The game is free, has no paywall timers and does not require an Internet connection to play. You can optionally purchase more currency.



Howard aslo showed off Bethesda’s real PipBoy – which comes with the Colelctor’s Edition. You cna load your smartphone into it, and use an app which sues the same code as the PipBoy in the game. You can use it as a second screen to access anything the PipBoy manages in game.

“As stupid gimmicks go,” Howard said, “This is the best fucking one I’ve ever seen. It’s really cool.”

The base app will be available on Android and iOS so you can sue it as a second screen even without a PipBoy mount.

Fallout 4 is coming November 10 2015 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
