Xbox One Backwards Compatibility List Expands

Has future titles just been revealed by Microsoft for Xbox One’s backwards compatibility? It sure looks like it as this image promoting Xbox 360 titles on Xbox One has been released and features games that can’t be played just yet, but seem to be a few of the 100+ that were promised for the end of the year.



The new Xbox 360 games that will be backwards compatible to Xbox One includes: Halo 3, Halo Reach, Halo 3 ODST, Halo Wars, Fable II, Borderlands, Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Alan Wake and Shadow Complex.

The previous list of compatible games are: A Kingdom for Keflings, A World of Keflings, Alien Hominid HD, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, BattleBlock Theater, Defense Grid, Geometry Wars Evolved, Hexic HD, Jetpac Refuelled, Kameo, Mass Effect, N+, Perfect Dark, Perfect Dark Zero, Small Arms, Super Meat Boy, Toy Soldiers, Toy Soldiers: Cold War, Viva Piñata, Viva Piñata: TIP and Zuma.

Microsoft has also added a specific section titled "Backwards Compatibility" on their Xbox Feedback page for the purpose of allowing users to vote on which games they may want added to the list of backwards compatible games, although this list is not a guarantee that the games will be added in the future.

It's all a matter of opinion. Thousands of people are happy about this because they can play old games without switching consoles.

Dusknoir I also don't understand why this is a huge deal? Didn't you all keep your xbox 360? If you want to play the games so bad then play it on the 360. I still play on it.


It's just so they can play it on the next gen consoles

Recon Well who ever posted this forgot an important thing to put down from their source, that its not "completely" out yet because they are only getting these facts because of a image.
"As you can see some of the games on this image are already playable on Xbox One like Mass Effect, but some of the titles arent, but if Microsoft are promoting them it must mean they will be coming in the future. Here are the games on the image that will be available on Xbox One."
It may be true but i wont believe it until its "actually" added to the list.


Dude they put mother fudging Halo 3 as a backwards compatible game, when you can just play it on master chief collection. Their trolling us I guarantee it
