Confirmed: Fallout 4 will run at 1080p and 30fps on PS4, Xbox One, PC Unlimited

Fallout 4 will run at 1080p and 30 frames-per-second on everything, it has been revealed.

Fallout 4 director Todd Howard confirmed the news to Digital Spy at this year's E3 gaming expo.

"It is 1080p on everything," he said, before confirming that it would run at 30fps and not 60fps.

Fallout 4, which is set in post-apocalyptic Boston, is the first new entry in the role-playing series since 2010's New Vegas.

Players will be able to build structures and defences within the game world, while mod support has been confirmed for PC, followed by Xbox One.

Update 2: After the comments by Pete Hines we removed this from our homepage but today Bethesda has confirmed that it's indeed true.
Update: Bethesda confirmed that the PC version of the game will be uncapped, and that 1080p/30fps only applies to the console versions.

I fail to acknowledge that people really thought a game like Fallout 4 would run at 60fps and at 1080p on consoles lol. Surely nobody was even expecting that?

i think 30fps is good for now just think it might not be as good as PC but consoles have come a long way from where they began and we should be happy with what we've got even though it could be a little better
