Red Dead loses the top spot in Xbox One backward compatibility poll

Black Ops 2 has knocked Red Dead Redemption from the top spot for the most requested game for Xbox One backward compatibility.

It’s a close call between the two – only last week, Red Dead Redemption was topping the chart with over 3,000 more votes than Black Ops 2.

As of today, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has 78,245 votes, while Red Dead Redemption is in second place with 76, 225.

In fact, the Call of Duty series seems to be crawling its way up the chart. Mass Effect 3 has been bumped out of the top 10 by Modern Warfare 2, while Halo: Reach and Gears of War 3 have each dropped down one, to be replaced by the CoD games they previously had the lead on.

How much Call of Duty do these people need? They come out every year. My vote has gone to Red Dead Redemption, like that of any other sane human being.

Here are the top 10 requested games as it currently stands:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Halo: Reach

i loved red dead redemption back in the day !! i had so much fun playing it , sucks there is not gonna be a xbox one version ( maybe in the future )

Majority of the games here are outdated, yeah they're fun to play, but just move onto a different game..
Most of the votes will probably only play Story Mode where possible, anyway.. Just go back onto the 360 for a few hours lol

Why does everyone want these outdated games on new systems? Like gears 3 shouldn't be on this list since the ultimate edition coming out. Then you all want these CoDs? Smh

skyguy69 lol its funny cuz most of you don't realize that its just a poll. some of the games won't make it to Xbox One either way. The only thing thats delaying more games for backwards compat. is permission. Microsoft stated it multiple times now, but they have to get permissions from all the game devs to ve allowed to change a minor part of the coding in the games to make them run in the xbox 360 emulator. that also means that if one CoD game gets added, then all of them will. Skyrim and Fallout 3 and NV will be added for sure because it says that if you preorder Fallout 4 you will get a free code to download Fallout 3 when it becomes available for backwards compat. if you don't believe me, go check the xbox one market. its there. so that means that they have Bethesda's permission already. so everyone just chill. they are making alot of big changes for us this holiday, so im sure its a ton of work. im in the preview program btw so if anyone wants in my gt is cool like fiya [all lowercase with spaces] so just add me and ill invite you to it.


What was the point of this post?

It's a poll to see what games the community wants to be backwards compatible. They are seeing what the community wants, and then seeking out those companies. If Black ops 2 is added, it does NOT mean that all of them will be added. That was an ignorant statement.
