Windows 10 global rollout is underway

Windows 10 is rolling out in each time zone as midnight of July 29 ticks over.

With the beta testing period over, Windows 10 is now becoming available as a free upgrade for anyone currently using Windows 7 or 8. Users can request the upgrade by clicking the Windows logo at the right of their taskbar. More information is available on Microsoft’s upgrade page.

Microsoft’s strategy is to get Windows 10 onto as many computers as it can, and to unite everyone with a single operating system.

For Xbox One users, the most significant change for Windows 10 may be the ability to stream Xbox One games to PC and Microsoft tablets. Microsoft is working on making the opposite possible, too. Beyond this, Windows 10 will also introduce Game DVR and cross-device play capabilities.

Got mine this morning. It's a lot different than 7 still not 100% used to it. Also tried the streaming and it was pretty sick.

I did that and am on windows 10 but now its not activated :/

I did that and am on windows 10 but now its not activated :/

Simply open up command prompt as admin then type "Wuauclt.exe /updatenow"

do not press enter

then open up update windows set it to search while its searching press enter on CMD and it should start downloading windows 10

Halo Just got it and I like it. Trying to get it on my other computer now :D


how did you get it? I checked my email and nothing yet.


There should be a window on your taskbar, you click it and go through the menu and it will say you could download it. Also you may need to have automatic updates enabled.


Okay, I go to that icon, I click on it, and it's like "Notify me when I'm ready"
