Halo 5 campaign twice as long as Halo 4’s

Halo 5 is enormous, and that’s after 343 Industries reined in its ambitions.

Halo 5: Guardians is going to be bigger in every way – including the length of its story-drive campaign mode.

Speaking to Gamesradar at gamescom 2015, 343 Industires said Halo 5’s campaign is twice as long as Halo 4’s was, taking in visits to Human, Covenant and Forerunner locations.

It’s a little disconcerting to hear that the developer had originally planned for an even longer story mode, but scaled it back.

This is only the latest in a series of revelations about Halo 5’s tremendous size. For one thing, the whole campaign is played in a fireteam of four – either co-op buddies or AI companions – so environments are much larger than in previous Halo games with solo protagonists. For another, The new 12v12 Warzone multiplayer mode features the biggest map of the Halo series to date.

Pat has some concerns that the thirst for content has diluted Halo 5’s essence. I guess we’ll know for sure when Halo 5: Guardian’s launches exclusively for Xbox One on October 27.

Sounds so good. I wish they kept the size they had before scaling it back though. Also, "human locations" kind of sold me. I wanted so bad there to be human locations. I have played in so many Covenant and Forerunner locations that I just want it to go back to Master Chief's roots. Go to some areas that maybe he was at when he was a child. Something like that. The story can be so good if Hunt The Truth was anything to go by.

I liked halo 4's but i hope if there is 4 people there isnt 4 master chiefs in halo 3's player 1 was master chief player 2 was arbiter player 3 and 4 are just elites. I loved that

Hopefully it's a lot more fun too, the H4 campaign was kind of boring.

Main reason I am buying this game, huge Halo fan, can't wait for Chief to reunite with the other Spartan II's.

Personally i have no interest in the multiplayer. Played the beta for awhile and hated it to be honest. Graphics are nice but i have to say i need to know what happens in the campaign. To me this is great knews, love the story of the halo series, and cant wait to see whats next.
