New Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Updates Coming This Week

What games will be next to make the generational leap?

The next swath of Xbox 360 games that will be getting the Xbox One backwards compatibility treatment is "likely" to be revealed this week, according to a tweet from Xbox head Phil Spencer.

After a fan asked about Spencer's earlier statement that backwards compatibility news would be coming this past week, Spencer responded by saying the news was delayed but that new information would probably come this week.

Back at E3, Microsoft announced its program to bring select Xbox 360 games to the Xbox One. Xbox One owners will be able to play both digital and physical copies of these select Xbox 360 games when the program launches for everyone in November.

Lig Please don't give us viva pinata or any game like that... Give us Cod 4, Mafia 2, Gta san andreas.. Etc.

Microsoft don't pick the game, the producers allow microsoft to do this, If call of duty does not allow Cod 4, MW2... etc on the BC games. Then microsoft can't do anything, if Cod has plans for a remaster in the future then good on them, that's what a bussiness does.. Makes money.

If Activision doesn't allow backwards compatibility or remaster the games then there's gonna be a lot of unhappy people...

True, but then again they would most likely just remake the game in the Xbox One version and have everyone buy it again, I'll be damned if that happens because I would not spend $60 on a legacy cod.

Cant wait for the next batch to come in. The last batch of games were good but had some popular titles missing.
