Couldn't agree more. It also has to do with the time-value of money. I hate pre-ordering because it essentially is giving your money away at an early date to receive something in the future. Instead, you could use it for more useful things in the present and buy the game on release.

Are you... a complete moron? lol. Almost every beta I've ever seen has a closed beta, and then quickly followed by an open beta. This has been known for a loooong time. It was even like that on PS.

Is it supposed to be open beta on PC? Me and my friend are able to play the beta but neither of us preordered the game.
