Microsoft Closing XNA Creator’s Club and Xbox Live Indie Games Service

Microsoft has announced that it’s shutting down its XNA Creator’s Club and the Xbox Live Indie Games service on the Xbox 360.

ID@Xbox head, Chris Charla, stated that they won’t accept any new subscriptions or membership renewals. Although, Microsoft decided to give current members some time to finish their games, till September 9 of next year, to be exact. In addition to that, current members will get a permanent Windows Developer account.

However, don’t worry about your games, since all of your purchased XBLIG titles will still be playable, and re-downloadable.

I think this is good news to be honest. The indie games section died following the release of next gen. Only a handful of these indie games are good and the rest are games that took no effort to make with moeshit click bait covers and crap.

Hopefully this means that they are unifying XBLA and indie games.
Meaning that if you summit content it all goes in to XBLA.

This is bad news though. Why hurt the community
