Fallout 4 on Xbox One Has a File Size Just Under 30GB

The Xbox store page for Fallout 4 has updated their listing, now giving a 28.12 GB file size for what will no doubt be one of fall’s biggest games. This is still much bigger than any previous Bethesda game on the HD consoles. Fallout 3 was 5.48 GB, Fallout: New Vegas was 4.75 GB, and their most recent game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was 3.68 GB on the Xbox 360.

These file sizes may not reflect patches released post-launch, as some day one patches have been known to enlarge the base file size significantly such as Batman: Arkham Knight‘s over 3 GB day one patch on PlayStation 4. Whether Fallout 4 will contain a day one patch remains to be seen.

Well just tells you more to do on the game so pumped mang actually trying to learn how to create my own pc mods so when fallout 4 hits I can use them. Also not sure steam will produce the mods or we will be allowed to use our own custom ones.

Wonder how large it'll be on the PS4. Might have to delete some things if it's relatively the same as the Xbox One's.

Same lol. I expected 50 GB to be honest. This means that they didn't really focus on graphics as much which may be a good thing. I just pray that I don't get bored of the game within 2 weeks. They need a multiplayer option like trading or some sort.

This size is HUGE for a Bethesda game. Skyrim was a huge and was a mere 4 GB. Looking how big skyrim was and this is 28... thats insane.


We're also on next-gen (current-gen now), you have to put that into account.
