Halo 5’s day one patch file size revealed

Halo 5: Guardians’ day one patch is essential for multiplayer and it’s a little bit on the large side.

343 Industries has revealed the size for Halo 5’s day one patch. The patch, which includes multiplayer and map content, will need to be downloaded by all players getting the disc version.

The patch clocks in at 9 GB, according to studio head Josh Holmes, answering a fan on Twitter.

Owners of the digital version should have it already pre-loaded, making the total size just shy of 55 GB, which is a bit shorter than what the back of the box said.

Halo 5: Guardians is out October 27 on Xbox One.

Have games always had day one updates??? I fee like every game has them now. I remember buying a game and it just magically worked WOW it worked when I bought it. No stupid day one updates and if it was a day one update it was like 200mb not freaking 9GBS... Smh

9GB is pretty big but good thing it will install as I am installing the disc, could take some time though..
