Call of Duty: Black Ops II still has 12 million monthly active users

Activision will be confident ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops III's impending release. Recent announcements from Activision and EA have revealed that 2012’s Black Ops II receives more monthly active users than EA’s previous two Battlefield titles combined.

The average figure of 12 million monthly active users was taken over the last quarter, which is incredibly impressive considering the game is only available on PC and last-gen consoles.

Among the accolades that the ageing FPS can boast are a place on Steam’s top 100 most-played games list.

Arguably Activision’s favourite piece of news will have come from competitor EA. The Battlefield publishers recently announced combined monthly active user base for Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline of 6 million. That’s half the users that the three-year-old Call of Duty: Black Ops II can claim.

Black ops 2 is much better than ghosts and advanced warfare so I'm not surprised.

It was an okay game. Modern Warfare 2 being my favorite of the MW series while play BO series. But in the BO series I would say Black Ops 1 would be the best. Cold War/Vietnam era is what I like and it had a mixture which was very cool. Zombies was also fun for that game.
I wonder what the monthly active users for Modern Warfare 2 & Black Ops (1) is.

Like I said numerous times before, people were shitting on BO2 because "it's not MW2". I loved the game and spent more hours on it than any CoD game.
