New Xbox One dashboard rolling out now, download close to 1.2GB

Right on schedule, the new Xbox One Experience is starting to become available all over the world.

Reports are coming in from many users to confirm that their consoles have started downloading the New Xbox One Experience. The update is just shy of 1.2GB, which is a lot larger than the usual 250MB updates.

The new Xbox One dashboard promises to be 50% faster, improve party chat and messaging, and a whole bunch of other features and system improvements.

It also brings Xbox 360 backwards compatibility support to the console, but not for another 12 hours.

external hard drives really aren't that expensive, for people worried about space

If you have an external hdd then it's no problem! but 1GB is definitely useful for other things with the pre-built stingy drive. I've got the dash and it's amazing

I've had the new dashboard for like a month now because of the preview program and I absolutely love it. I love how you can quickly access your friends, messages, notifications, and party from the side bar while you're in a game or on the dashboard!

Never knew you could add a background behind your dashboard. Yet again I haven't touched Xbox since 3 years ago but my Xbox One arrives tomorrow :D
