A recent announcement from Take Two Interactive President Karl Slatoff is now giving fans more hope that "Red Dead Redemption 2" could finally be released next year.

To be clear, Slatoff made no specific announcement saying that "Red Dead Redemption 2" would be released next year, however, he did reveal that Rockstar Games is already working on their next batch of what he termed as "unannounced" projects.

According to Slatoff, the "unannounced" projects will most likely include new titles as well as games that continue established franchises. It's the latter part of that announcement that fans are pointing to as the indicator that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is finally on its way, according to Product Reviews.

It's also been confirmed that at least one of those still unnamed projects will be coming out by next year, although Take Two Interactive has held off announcing if that upcoming title will be an entirely new game or the continuation of a popular franchise such as "Red Dead Redemption."

Still, the news of Take Two Interactive finally confirming that a game will be coming out next year is significant, and now, supposed details of "Red Dead Redemption 2" have also begun to surface online.

One of the more widespread rumors surrounding the game suggests that it will feature three playable characters in Irish, Seth, and the player's own creation.

According to the Latinos Post, there's also a rumor suggesting that "Red Dead Redemption 2" may actually be a prequel set 12 years before the events of the first game.

As for where the next game in the series might be set, rumors also suggest that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be spanning across nine different states, mostly taking place across western states and even Mexico.
