PlayStation Network struggles on Black Friday holiday

Sony’s PSN is down for some, causing connection issues to games and services.

Sony’s PlayStation Network is struggling to keep players connected online.

Some games are not playable for some PS4 users, and the PlayStation Store is down in certain regions too.

The official PlayStation Network Status page looks like this at the time of writing:


Destiny players are struggling to get online too.
It’s a holiday in the U.S. right now, and with the increased traffic from the Black Friday sales, the service may be patchy for the next few hours.

We’d suggest keeping an eye on Sony’s social channels, although it’s Twitter feed has not acknowledged the issues at the time of writing.

you mean xbox cause this is the first in a while that they go down now xbox was struggling since the summer cause of all the kiddies ddosing and stuff plus xbox servers arent always up they also go down on holidays and so on same with steams download servers nothing is perfect not saying xb is bad but saying its up like all the time makes me mad since that is false

I can understand some issues on holidays like Christmas. But on Black Friday? I'm not calling PSN's servers awful, but it comes as a surprise at the least. Guess a lot of kiddies are opening their shiny new PS4 early LOL
