Black Friday and the beginning of the holiday season turn November into a period of high sales for consoles every year, and this year has been particularly strong according to insider Tidux, who has proven to have solid connections at Sony Computer Entertainment in the past.

Among to the data he just presented, we learn that PS4 has sold over a million units in the whole month, and on Black Friday it registered the second highest number of new units connected to the PSN, topped only by the console’s launch.

The PSN saw a new record of users online, and another record was set for sales on the PlayStation Store. lastly, a new record was also achieved for sales of PlayStation Plus subscriptions, including many renewals and extensions.

While Tidux’s infurmation is normally reliable, we should of course take it with the customary pinch of salt, considering that it’s not supported by official announcements from Sony. It’ll be interesting to see if the house of PlayStation will provide any relevant information over the next few days, of if we’ll have to wait for the beginning of February when the quarterly financial results might give a more precise scenario.
