Linux on the PS4 running Pokemon

At the Chaos Communication Congress failoverflow showed us a Linux running on the PS4 with a special version of pokemon running on it. They didn’t talk about it like the 3DS hacking just a few slides and a video of it in action.

Now it’s hard to say what firmware they are using to do this with but if I had to guess I would say 1.76Fw as we know it has the WebKit exploit in it but they use the PS4 user guide as their entry point. Thanks to biteyourconsole they recorded this for everyone to see, you can check out the short video below.

The are running unassigned code already.

What do you mean "the stuff that nobody liked on last gen"? There are plenty of people who still play last gen only because you can mod. And if you go through the gta forums and cod forums it seems like people really like mods.

People like the gta lobbies because it's free money. As for cod I mean it's cod of course mods will be popular lol..

TTG wasn't created for mods. The site holds use for all things I stopped giving two shits about mods back in 2011. I only come here for grouping up with players for certain games or to see what's new.

If you come here looking for mods you are scum plain and simple.


TTG was actually created for mods but i will say a lot has changed since then, it's not as heavy on mods as it once was.

Yeah where is your proof on that? TTG wasn't specifically made for one reason its use is for any and everything game related. When I was a lurker here back in 2010 mods weren't the only thing to talk about. Yes they were popular because that's when JTAG and Jailbreaking was a thing. Nowadays the site has a more general use for all gaming related content.
