It’s a safe bet that those fans who have been anxiously awaiting the release of Far Cry Primal ever since its reveal trailer several months ago will already be somewhat familiar with the majority of the content for Ubisoft’s forthcoming action-adventure game. Nevertheless, there’s always the possibility of gamers who may not be aware of what Far Cry Primal‘s pre-historic influences are all about, so with that in mind, Ubisoft has released a new trailer giving a rundown of what the Stone Age inspired release has in store for them.

Narrated by voice actor Elias Toufexis – Adam Jensen of the Deus Ex franchise and Takkar of Far Cry Primal – not only are the game’s weapons, Beast Master abilities, and human foes explained, but its environment and plot are also discussed. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a proper video game trailer if some gameplay wasn’t shown off, so Ubisoft’s video also shares some actual footage from the title itself to give fans a taste of the brutal combat they’ll experience within the release’s beautiful scenery.

As far as weaponry goes, the trailer gives an overview of Takkar’s low-tech load-out of clubs, blades, and bows and arrows, as well as some interesting “bombs” that harness the power of nature. Additionally, the video covers the protagonist’s ability to commune with and command animals in his journey across the lush landscape of the fictional land of Oros to gather resources and save his Wenja tribe from extinction.
