Call of Duty map packs sell 20 million

In a short and sweet media burst today, Activision Blizzard sends word that the combined sales of downloadable map packs for the Call of Duty franchise now exceed 20 million units.

The number’s based on the sales of six map packs then: one for Modern Warfare, three for World at War, and most recently two for Modern Warfare 2, the first of which even managed to “shatter” Xbox Live’s previous day one DLC sales record and set a new bar; 1 million+ in 24 hours.

The latest CoD, Black Ops, is out in November. And indeed, there will be DLC.

why do they charge it for 15 dollars half of the maps are from cod4 if they put backlot and shipment i would buy it cuz backlot is my favroite map in cod 4 and i could quickscope on shipment

What I don't get is Activision does so good and makes alot of money. But their stock doesn't go up or show any sign of the money they make?. That is stupid.

It means 20 million over the collective 6, and not all of them were £10 were they?

So at most it would be £10 x 20 million.

Still, £200M for a couple new maps ain't frikin baad.
