Gears of War 4: Watch the Gameplay Reveal of The New “Escalation” Mode

Yesterday during the during the Gears of War Season 2 finals The Coalition introduced a new multiplayer gameplay mode named Escalation for Gears of War 4.

The new mode, dedicated to the core competitive user base, is true to its name due to a rule set that encourages the build-up of the heat of each match through several rounds towards a climax at the end.

If you want to see it in action, YouTube user ProGear360 recorded the debut matches, that also show another premiere, the new spectator mode with new cameras, stats on screen and a convenient interface that lets you easily switch to the desired player.

Just watched the gameplay of this and it looks awesome to say the least, I cannot wait until the game disc is in my hand and i can play it!

Im expecting a lot from this game, i want something as good as gears 3 was, and not the masive flop that was judgement.

I hope to see so much more about this game at E3.

JPlaysGames Looks amazing, only concern is the amount of people that will be playing this mode a few months into its release. Typically the amount of players online dies out quickly and with previous Gears of War game typically always being somewhat competitive even in "Public/Ranked matches" i'm not so sure this will stick well. But hopefully i'm wrong and this becomes a huge success and attracts more players into the competitive scene!


I don't think that will be the case with Gears 4 honestly, the game is so fluid and fun compared to Gears: UE. Hopefully this mode thrives.
