Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered Cannot be Purchased Separately

If you're excited to play the classic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in its remastered state, you need to prepare to also buy the futuristic new Infinite Warfare.

According to Activision's FAQ for Modern Warfare Remastered, the game will be available as a digital download only to customers who purchase a qualifying version of its upcoming, Infinity Ward developed Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

The qualifying versions are the "Legacy, Legacy Pro and Digital Deluxe" SKUs of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is a full game digital download," and won't be available as a separate, physical release.

"You must own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in order to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered," the FAQ also states.

This is how they get you. You HAVE to buy the new CoD to actually get the what you want. A few months from now they'll say "Infinite Warfare" sold X copies ,and it'll look like they have really good numbers. Smart marketing move for them.

Everything is so bulky every time they make a futuristic game. Im not sure if it's just the way they designed the vehicles and gun, that makes everything look unfuturistic and bulky. Anyway, who am i to judge, im not getting this future crap. Hopefully next year COD isn't placed into the future.

Man they tried so hard to not give us backward compatibility but at least they upped the graphics. On second thought, i hope they remaster all the older cods since old games such as Rainbow six vegas 1 & 2 look so crappy on the Xbone
