When we saw Eurogamer's report that the PS Vita Facebook app had been pulled from PSN, it was only in Europe -- the US PSN store still had the app available for download. Expect some PSN downtime starting on March 1, from 11am ET until 2am ET the next day. The PlayStation Store on both the PC and consoles will be unavailable, as will account management and PlayStation Home. If you're signed in when maintenance starts, you'll be signed out automatically.

Next week, you'll be able to get into Killzone 3's multiplayer without having to deal with all the cruft of the rest of the game. The official Call of Duty Elite Facebook page has announced that all PS3 Players will be getting an exclusive Elite Theme on Feb 28th for free. A recent patent filing suggests that Sony is working on Kinect-like tech, possibly for use with future PlayStation software. Rockstar parent Take-Two has trademarked 'GTA TV' and 'Rockstar TV', possibly hinting at extensive trans-media promotion for Grand Theft Auto V. Uncharted 3 is getting a new "Co-Op Shade Survival" mode in March. Naughty Dog shared almost no information beyond the name, and expects us to extrapolate more from the screenshot above. If we had to guess, given the name, it's about making sure Drake and Elena stay out of the sun and wear proper sunblock while they're on holiday.
