At 12 AM Central on May 1st the Representative Corporate Executive Officer, Kazuo Hirai, did a press conference with the senior vice presidents Shinki Hasejima and Shiro Kambe. An article from the Financial Times strongly implies that the PSN security hackers have already commenced using the stolen credit card data. The respective newspaper, features a case study with a gamer who had a bank call him one day after the PSN hack to query a $900 transaction. Sony’s confirmed that Sony Corp’s Kaz Hirai is to hold a press conference in Japan tomorrow to address last week’s PSN hacking crisis.Hirai will speak at 2.00pm Japanese time (9.00pm PST, 12.00am EST, 5.00am BST, 6.00am CET) about the breach, as well as the firm’s information management system and the schedule to resume services. Here we are again with another correction, it appears that Sony has gotten sneaky and updated a blog entry on the sly. The suggestion that Sony has not asked for gamers CCV codes is stricken from the record with Sony claiming "While we do ask for CCV codes, we do not store them in our database."

After days without word on the status of the PlayStation Network, Sony has broken their silence regarding the network outage. The Federal Bureau of Investigations today confirmed to Kotaku that it is looking into the security breach that brought the Playstation Network down and exposed millions of users' personal data to cybercriminals.
