An official Machinima trailer has been released for the upcoming zombies map, "Call of the Dead". The map is part of the "Escalation" map pack, due to release on May 3rd for Xbox 360. The map pack includes 5 new maps: Zoo, Hotel, Convoy, Stockpile, and of course Call of the Dead. The price is set for 1200 Microsoft Points, or $15.

Sony has revealed the main reason why PSN is down for such a long time. And it all has to do with hackers tearing apart the PSN security. They warn that it is likely hackers have got access to ALL the details on PSN user accounts including BILLING information. Sony has finally updated the public on the ongoing PSN outage, as the service has now been offline for five days.Said SCEA comms boss Patrick Seybold, speaking on the PS Blog: “I know you are waiting for additional information on when PlayStation Network and Qriocity services will be online. Hacktivist group Anonymous has released a video message to PSN users over the fact US and EU online PlayStation services have been down since Wednesday, denying it had any involvement. Sony has already said PSN was taken offline thanks to an “external intrusion” and is currently working on “rebuilding” the “system”.

With the release of several big games this week and a rivals service running a free weekend promotion, one could be forgiven for thinking that Sony wanted a piece of the hot-juicy gaming action.. apparently not! A Microsoft representative has issued a statement to Electronic Theatre regarding the ongoing PSN issues, which are plaguing users worldwide. You might have guessed this already, but it's no simple error that's been keeping the PSN down over the last few days, forcing us into productive activities (like writing this) instead of playing multiplayer Spelunker HD. Earlier reports today indicated that Anonymous were to resume attacks against Sony as soon as PSN went up again. However, new information today suggests otherwise. The latest reports claim that the IRC channel of the group states the following - "[#OpSony is over, if you are here to baww about PSN, it wasn't us.]". So perhaps it really is all over.
