  • The console automatically uses default display settings.

2. Insert batteries to align with the polarity as indicated inside the battery compartment.

  • Did the console turn on?

-Yes. Confirm that the wireless controller is paired with the console. The controller that comes with the game system should be automatically paired with the console; separately sold controllers must be manually paired.

For information about pairing a wireless controller to an Xbox One console, see Connect a wireless controller to your Xbox One.

-No. Confirm that the console has power by making sure that the power supply is plugged in and functioning properly.

If you're having trouble with your power supply, see Xbox One console wont power on.

If the console turns on but there's no video signal:

  • Confirm that your HDMI cables are inserted into their correct ports as detailed above.
-One HDMI cable should connect the HDMI OUT port on the console to the HDMI port on your TV.
-One HDMI cable should connect the HDMI IN port on the console to the HDMI port on your STB.
  • Confirm that you've selected the correct TV video HDMI input.
