Block a gamertag

If you dont like playing a game with someone, you can block that player. Do this by selecting the players gamertag from within the game and blocking the player. If the person is no longer playing the game, you can search and block the person through the Profile app.

The blocked player will not be able to send you any messages, unless you first send a message to that player.

To block a player:

1. To return to the Home screen, press the Xbox button or say Xbox, go home.
2. Select your profile tile.

4. Select Block.

Note You cant block anyone whos on your Friends list. To access the option to block that person, you must first remove that gamertag from your Friends list.

Remove a block from a player

If you block someone by accident or you want to un-do a block, follow these steps:

1. To return to the Home screen, press the Xbox button or say Xbox, go home.
2. Open the Friends app.
3. Press the Menu button on your controller.
4. Select People Ive blocked.
5. Find the person to unblock.
6. Select Unblock.
