Its easy to customize the power settings on your Xbox One console. For example, you can configure your console to shut down automatically, or to turn on with a voice command. Heres how:

1. Go to Settings. To do this, press the Menu button, or say Xbox, go to Settings.

Note The Kinect sensor must be plugged in to use voice commands.

2. Select Power and startup.

3. Select the option that you want:

• Turn off your console. This is another way to turn off your console.
  
  Note Remember that off defaults to the power mode thats configured. For example, if you are in Instant-On power mode, your console is placed in this mode when you select this option.
  
  
• Turn off after. This allows you to select whether you want your console to turn off automatically when not being used. Your options are:
  
  -Turn off after 1 hour of inactivity
  -Turn off after 6 hours of inactivity
  -Dont turn off automatically
  
  
• Power options. This allows you to select whether you want Instant-On mode or energy-saving mode.

Note If you choose Instant-On, youll have the option to select whether you want to use your voice to turn on the console.
