How to use the eraser for an opaque effect.

Here is a basic tutorial on how to use the eraser for a opacity effect rather than complete deletion of a layer.

1) First you are going to want to to get a background layer, you can do this by clicking 'file'>'new' in the top-left corner and then entering the dimensions you would like to use whether they be pixels, millimeters or centimeters.

2) From here you are going to need to get whatever it is you are trying to give an opaque effect to, if this is a picture you would like to edit you can click and drag into Photoshop for a faster transition. After this drag your photo/picture onto the background you created earlier.

3) Now that you have got everything set up you will need to click onto the eraser tool but before using it go to the top of the screen where the options for the eraser is and click on 'Opacity'.
From here you can use the slider to adjust how opaque you would like your picture.

Hope this tutorial helped Til next time.
