The Telelocator Focus is a magical item which helps the player to control the randomness of the Telelocator Staff. Instead of teleporting the character or mob to a random location (which can be bad in the case of a Deerclops, Red Hound, or another mob that can cause major trouble), they will be teleported to this structure. It requires 4 Nightmare Fuel, 4 Living Logs, 8 Gold Nuggets, and a Shadow Manipulator to prototype.


Upon construction, the Focus has three posts in which the player must install 3 Purple Gems in order to activate it. When the Telelocator Staff is used on the player (by means of right clicking it) anywhere in the world, they will be immediately transported to the center of the triangle on the ground. After use, the Gems will be consumed and must be replaced before the Focus can be used again. If the player has already placed 3 purple gems onto the posts and wishes to deactivate it, the player can remove the gems from the posts.

Enemy mobs that are transported in this way will possibly be set on fire from the lightning strike, granted they are not immune to fire. Because of this, players are advised to use caution as to where they place this portal. Upon exit from the portal, the mobs will quickly spread fire everywhere they go for a few seconds meaning they could destroy entire berry bush, twig, and grass farms in the process. If placed near a base camp, one would be well advised to create walls around the Focus to prevent any inadvertent enemy transport damage.
A good place to place the focus is in the middle of your Tooth Trap field (if you made one). If you use it on a hostile mob, they'll get teleported in your field and die to the traps when they leave the Focus' area. Additionally if you use it to get home, the field is close to camp so it will work anyway. However know that a Deerclops will likely destroy the Focus the moment it is teleported there.
