these are the requirements and setup steps for using the OneGuide on Xbox One, which combines TV service with your Xbox video apps. I will describe how to configure your Xbox One console to control your TV, audio receiver, and set-top box.
Requirements
To use the OneGuide with your TV and Xbox One, you need the following:
A cable or satellite set-top box with HDMI output
A connection to Xbox Live to download channel lineup information for the OneGuide
An Xbox Live Gold membership
A cable or satellite set-top box with HDMI output

Connecting your console to your home theater
Before setting up the OneGuide, confirm that your console is correctly connected to your home theater system and is ready for live TV.
Setting up Live TV for the first time
Step 1: Select Start to begin set-up.

Step 2: Verify that your console is receiving a signal from your set-top box

Step 3: Confirm that your set-top box is connected by HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your console. Once live TV appears, select Next.

Step 4: You can configure all the devices in your home theater system to respond to Xbox, on and other voice commands by enabling your Xbox One console to talk to your TV when prompted. Heres how:
Select your TV manufacturer from the list of common providers. If it's not listed, select I don't see my brand and enter it manually.

Step 5: Once your console has identified your TV, the console will try to identify the model of your TV by sending it a series of commands. Follow the on-screen guidance to help your console learn how to control your TV. If the process is successful, youll see the message, OK, we know how to talk to your TV.

Step 6: Select Set up OneGuide to configure your channel line-up and TV information.Enter your ZIP Code and select Continue to find TV providers in your area.
From the drop-down menu, select your cable or satellite TV provider.
If your provider doesnt appear in the list, or if you watch broadcast TV only, select Broadcast TV and then press Continue.
Select your TV lineup, and then select Continue.
Enter the provider of your cable or satellite set-top box.
Follow the on-screen guidance to help your console learn how to control your set-top box.
If the process is successful, youll see the message, OK, now we know how to talk to your cable or satellite box.
