With millions of songs available in the cloud, it can be difficult to know where to start. That's where music matching comes inwe can get your personal cloud collection started with the music you already have on your PC.

After adding the music from your PC, Xbox Music will ask whether you want to hear your music on other devices. Look for this notification in your collection, or you can find it later by tapping or clicking Settings and then Preferences.

Music matching automatically finds songs and albums on your PC that match whats on Xbox Music and then adds those songs from your music collection in the cloud. You'll then see them on your other cloud-connected devices automatically and be able to play them from an Xbox One or Xbox 360 console, Windows Phone 8, iOS device, Android device, or on music.xbox.com or from any Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1-based device with a Music Pass.

Sometimes it's hard to find an exact match automatically. You can take control any time (even with music matching turned off) by selecting an album and choosing Add To and then Music in the Cloud (available only with a valid Xbox Music Pass). This lets you pick the best available match from Xbox Music.

Free music you've added to your cloud collection will be accompanied by occasional ads when you stream it to your other PCs. If you copy the music files across your devices yourself, you won't hear any ads. Xbox Music Pass subscribers can always listen ad-free on all devices.

You can always download any music you've purchased individually, and if you're an Xbox Music Pass subscriber, you can download any streaming music selecting more and clicking Download
