Setting up your Xbox Kinect on the Xbox One is relatively simple. Signing into the Xbox One initially will move you through the motions of accepting automatic sign-ins and other seemingly pedestrian basic set-up questions. When you get to the portion of being able to sign in through Kinect, allow it to do so.


The Kinect will then read the features of who it sees and assume it is that person. If the Kinect correctly guesses which person you are, click "That's me" on the lower left-hand corner. The Kinect will recognize you from here on out.


If you are having issues with the Kinect recognizing you, go into the Settings and reset your Kinect sign-in key. This should work to reconfigure the issues you're having. If you are still having issue, you can continue clicking through the Settings to find options such as "I moved my Kinect sensor", which will recalibrate the image it projects and sees. Likewise, if your Kinect has trouble hearing you, you may also recalibrate the microphone. Please make sure your household is quiet while doing this.
