Mercenary Trophy guide
Earn 100,000 credits in Battle Pay.
Trophy type - Silver
When a Dark Sector is in conflict, the 2 opposing clans can set Battle Pay to entice you to defend or attack on their behalf. Playing for either clan will damage the Solar Rail of the opposing clan. Clans can set any amount of Battle Pay they like, but they can only pay players as long as their vault reserves allows it. A clan that offers a high battle pay (e.g. 50k), but with a low vault reserve (e.g. 500k) will only allow them to pay a total of 10 players (500/50=10). Of course, if you somehow were able to play this entirely by yourself 10 times in a row, you get the full 500k. This however, won't ever happen. Once their reserve hits 0, you can still play missions for them, but you won't get any credits for finishing it. It's possible for a Vault Reserve to empty out while you're in a mission. When this happens you won't receive any credits. You can use [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] to check for any Dark Sectors in conflict or upcoming conflicts, whether they have set a Battle Pay, their reserve, how many players can still collect the Battle Pay and much more.
In order to obtain this trophy, you need to obtain a total of 100k credits in battle pay. This can be spread out over as many Dark Sector conflict missions as you would like. But with clans usually setting battle pay up to 50k or sometimes even a few 100k, this shouldn't take to long to achieve. You'll also obtain the Where Credit is Due trophy if you haven't already.

The Clan on the left has a Battle Pay offer of 1 Credit and a Vault Reserve of 292. This means they're able to hand out the Battle Pay to 292 more players. The clan on the right either didn't set a Battle Pay at all, or their Vault Reserve has been emptied out, meaning they can't offer any more Battle Pay.

The clan on the left can hand out Battle Pay to 193 more players. The clan on the right can hand out Battle Pay to 12 players.
