Keeper's Best Friend Trophy Guide
Prevent a goal with a sliding goal line clearance

In order to get this trophy, you have to activate a particular animation. The most reliable way to do this one requires either two controllers, or a friend online helping you out. Either will work. Just follow these instructions.

01. You: Set the defence level to Park the Bus left on the d-pad.
02. You: Pass the ball back to your goalie. With the ball at his feet, run out beyond your defence and stop halfway between your box and the halfway line. Turn and stand facing the side-line to make it easy to take the ball off him at speed.
03. Second controller / friend: Using one of the strikers, you need to run at the ball and take it off the keeper at pace. This prevents the keeper getting in your way afterwards. Once clear, play a through-ball ground pass (Triangle) towards goal just strong enough to cross the line.
04. Do nothing else but watch. The beauty of this one is that the defensive AI will do the rest for you. One of the centre-backs will automatically move to defend the ball. If the through ball is the right speed, and arrives with the defender at the line, he will automatically slide and clear it. You DO NOT have to control him.
05. Repeat until the magic happens. You may have to get a feel for the power needed for the through-ball, but generally a few attempts are all thats needed.

Id recommend you keep this trophy until you already have most of the rest, as you may get this through normal play along the way.

Important: make sure it is an opposition player shooting. Using the goalkeeper to pass it back at goal has proved unreliable at best.
