Time for something different
Its all well and good changing the colour of your PlayStation 4s background, but what if you want a completely different theme entirely. PS4 firmware update v2.00 introduces dynamic themes, and you can use these to give your entire console an all-new look. Please note: the availability of themes will vary depending on region.
1. Go to Settings
From the PS4s home screen, push up to reach the top layer of the systems menu, and select the toolbox labelled Settings to the far right.
2. Enter the Themes submenu
Scroll down the list of options that appear until you reach Themes, and select it.
3. Find new themes in the PlayStation Store
You should see a list of themes that you currently have installed, as well as an option to Find in PlayStation Store. Select this, and, assuming that themes are available in your region, youll be taken to the PlayStation Store, where youll be presented with a list of premium and complimentary themes. To download these, simply follow the steps that you ordinarily would when downloading or purchasing an item from the PlayStation Store. When its installed, return to the Themes submenu in the Settings area to enable it.
