Photoshop - 3D Effect
The 3D Effect is a very easy and useful effect to know. To give your images a bit more of an edge and make it look a bit nicer this effect works perfectly.
1) First of all make a new composition with your image in it or just simply drag the image into Photoshop
2) Next right click on the layer and rasterize it to unlock the image or simply just unlock it. With Photoshop CC you can just click on the little lock icon
3) Next duplicate the image which you just imported into Photoshop. Do this by Right clicking and hitting duplicate layer, or just hit CTRL+J. Command+J on Mac
4) Now simply hide the first layer
5) Next right click on the duplicated layer and hit Blending Options or just double tap on the layer
6) A box should pop up, untick the G and B inside the Advanced Blending box and hit ok
7) Your image should now be red
8) Duplicate the image again by Right clicking and hitting duplicate layer, or just hit CTRL+J. Command+J on Mac
9) Now open up the blending options for our new duplicated layer by right clicking and selecting Blending options or just double tapping on the layer
10) Now do the same again however this time Untick the R box and tick the G and B and hit ok
11) Now move the red layer to the right a few times until you like what you see and the top layer to the left
12) Finally unhide your background layer (First image you imported) and your image should be good to go
