This gun can be obtained early on in the game and it was actually my first unique gun. To get this gun you must come across the Brotherhood of Steel and speak with "Paladin Danse". To find the Brotherhood of Steel is easy, while heading towards "Diamond City" you will get a radio transmission calling for help at the "Cambridge Police Station" head on over there and you will meet Paladin Danse. He will give you a quest called "Call to Arms" I dont wanna spoil the quest but just go ahead and do that quest and at the end Paladin will show his thanks in the form of a brand new weapon (:
