- There are a total of 10 Nostromo Logs in Alien Isolation.
Finding all of these collectibles will earn you the "Archivist" trophy or achievement.
You can see which ones you have found by opening the map menu.
Each Nostromo Log has its own name, so you can easily keep track of what's missing.
The logs are saved automatically when you pick them up. There is no need to get them again if you die.
Missing collectibles can be picked up via mission select at any time.
You should get the first 8 Nostromo Logs in Free Roam during Mission 16.
Just load up this mission and ignore the main objective.
The reason for this is that you need all of the tools that are unlocked later in the game.
You get the level 3 access tuner in mission 15.
Only after this point you can get all Nostromo Logs. Certain tools are required to open doors.
The way free roam works is that there are 4 Transit Stations:
Lorenz Systech Spire
Sevastopol Scimed Tower
Solomon's Habitation Tower
Engineering
You can travel between these areas via the train station (there is a red sign above each station that says where the train is going). Each of these areas has elevators that bring you to the other side areas, such as Seegson Synthetics.
When you scroll over an elevator on your map and zoom in, you can see where it will bring you.

#2 - Lorenz Systech Spire (003 Delayed Pick-Up) - 0:38
#3 - Gemini Exoplanet Solutions (008 Antarctica Control will get Our Call) - 1:01
#4 - Lorenz Systech Spire (002 Science Officer Reporting) - 1:50
#5 - Sevastopol Scimed Tower (004 Overworked and Underpaid) - 2:32
#6 - San Cristobal Medical Facility (005 System Check went Okay) - 3:19
#7 - Seegson Synthetics (006 The Secondary Load Unit) - 4:10
#8 - Engineering (007 Finishing Up Here) - 4:48
#9 - Mission 17 (009 Health Checks) - 5:33
#10 - Mission 17 (010 Nostromo Report Packet) - 6:08
Just roam around a little and make good use of the map. If you still have trouble, here is how you access the required side areas:
1. Seegson Communications = This is where Mission 16 starts
2. Lorenz Systech Spire = Take the elevator from Seegson Communications
3. Gemini Exoplanet Solutions = Take the Elevator from the Lorenz Systech Spire Lobby
4. Lorenz Systech Spire = Go back the way you came, take the Elevator from Gemini Exoplanet Solutions
5. Sevastopol Scimed Tower = Take the train from Lorenz Systech Spire
6. San Cristobal Medical Facility = Use the elevator from Sevastopol Scimed Tower
7. Seegson Synthetics = Use the elevator from Sevastopol Scimed tower
8. Engineering = Take the train from Sevastopol Scimed Tower
For the last two Nostromo Logs you simply just follow the objectives in Mission 17.
