Step 1
Lets start by creating a new document (Ctrl+N) in photoshop with size shown in screenshot below:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Then, proceed to create the first new layer on the document (Shift+Ctrl+N). On the new layer pop-up window, we give the name for this new layer solid color. While we are being active on the solid color layer, hit Shift+F5 to fill this layer with color. Choose light brown (#6a5c45)

Step 2
Create a new layer (Shift+Ctrl+N) above the solid color layer. Take pen tool (P). With this tool, create a square path as the one highlighted in orange color.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
After creating the path, right click on the document to show path option window. Choose Fill Path. Then, fill it with a solid color of any color we prefer or we can fill it with given color of #312f29 as shown in the screenshot. Finally, delete the path. Name this new layer right.

Step 3
On another new layer (Shift+Ctrl+N), create another color-filled square path. Take a look the screenshot below for our reference. Name this new layer left.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
With the same way, create the other two color-filled square paths on two different new layers.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
So we have four color-filled squares. The first and the second are right and left. Lets name the third middle foreground and the fourth left foreground. The four squares are supposed to be walls of a chamber.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 4
Now we will add the floor for the chamber. Open the brick floor image in the document. Make sure to place this floor layer between the four wall layers and solid color layer in the layer panel. Take move tool (V). Move the floor image to the position where needed.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Finally, change this floor layer to soft light blending at 100% opacity.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 5
Next, we will give brick texture to the four walls. We do this for the right wall first. Open the brick texture. Position this texture layer above the right layer in the layer panel. Activate the free transform tool (Ctrl+T). We will alter the position and perspective of this texture to fit the right wall. Right, click on the document to show transform option. Firstly, rotate the image 90 CCW, then flip it vertically.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Finally, change the perspective of this image by hold-click and drag downward the right corner transforming point.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
After getting the desired position, give this texture layer a clipping mask (Alt+Ctrl+G)
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 6
Do the same ways to add textures to the other walls.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 7
Now we will clean up the solid color behind the edges of the right and left walls To do this purpose, we will give the mentioned part some masking. Go select the solid color layer created in previous step 1 to be active on it. Go to layer > layer mask > reveal all. Take brush tool (B), choose soft round brush. With black color, stroke the brush on mentioned part as indicated in red highlight:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Here is the result after masking. The masked part is supposed to be the entrance of the chamber.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 8
Now we will add some cloud texture behind the entrance. Create a new layer again (Shift+Ctrl+N) below the solid color layer. Go to filter > render > cloud to create cloud texture.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Then give this cloud another filter, surface blur to smooth the texture. Go again to filter > blur > surface blur.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Duplicate (Ctrl+J) this cloud layer on time. Set this duplicate to exclusion blending at 100% opacity.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
This cloud texture will be not entirely seen because its position is below the solid color layer. It is just visible in the masked part of the solid color.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 9
Now we will add another object to the scene. Open the stock image in photoshop. Take pen tool (P) to cut out the iron handle from the image.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Add the cut out to the main scene.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 10
Now we will add light coming from the right side behind the right wall shining through the entrance. To do this, create another new layer (Shift+Ctrl+N) above the two cloud layers. Take brush tool (B) set as the one below.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
With white color, stroke the brush repeatedly from top right side of the entrance down to the bottom.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 11
Referring to the light source, there should be some light casted on the left wall. So we will give some highlight to it. Go select again the left layer. Create a new layer with a clipping mask above it. Take a very soft round brush (0% hardness) set at a very low opacity of about 10-15%. On this layer, paint soft white to add some highlight on the left wall.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 12
Proceed to give the whole scene color adjustment layer. Firstly, go to layer > new adjustment layers > brightness/contrast. Make sure to position this adjustment layer above the other layers. Set this layer to normal blending at 100% opacity.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Give the second adjustment layer: color balance. Position this layer above the brightness/contrast layer set to normal at 100% opacity.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Select the two adjustment layers. Hit Ctrl+ G to group them in a folder. Name this folder adjustment. Go to layer > layer mask > reveal all to give this folder a layer mask. Mask areas around the entrance.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 13
Now we will give some shadow and highlight to the walls. We start to this on the right wall. Select the layer again and create another new layer with a clipping mask above the brick texture. Take a very soft round brush ( 0% hardness) set to about 10% opacity. With combination color of black and white, paint the shadow and highlight where needed.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Do the same way to add some shadow and highlight to the other walls.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 14
Next, create a new layer again (Shift+Ctrl+N) above the adjustment folder. On this new layer, we will add more shade and highlight to the overall scene. Take brush tool again (B). Paint soft combination of black and white to areas where needed. Here is the one given for reference set on white background.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Referring to given color, here is the result set to normal at 100% blending.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
And this is the result set to normal at about 75% opacity.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 15
In this step, we will still add some more shade on the area around foreground walls and floor. Create another new layer (Shift+Ctrl+N) above the previous shade layer. Take gradient tool. Set foreground color to black. Choose linier gradient set to above 10-15% opacity. Click-hold and drag the tool from the lower bottom upward as indicated by the orange arrow.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Here is the gradient as a reference.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Given this color reference, the result should be like the one in the screenshot. Select the shade layers and hit Ctrl+G to group them in a folder.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 16
Proceed to create again a new layer above the shade folder. On this layer, paint straight thin white line on the edges of the left and right wall. These lines will soften the edge of the wall.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 17
Finally, we will add a life to the scene by placing a model at the edge point of the entrance. We will use this model for this purpose. Cut out the model from this image.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Add the cut out to the main document. Flip horizontally and scale down the size as needed. Set this model layer to normal at about 75% opacity.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 18
Next, we will add two more color adjustment for the entire scene. On the topmost position, create new adjustment layer (layer > new adjustment layers) and choose selective color:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Another new adjustment layer: brightness/contrast.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Mask areas around the entrance, left wall and floor as indicated in red highlight.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 19
Create a new layer again (Shift+Ctrl+N) above the two adjustment layers. Take a very soft round brush at a low opacity of about 10-15% opacity. Set this new layer to overlay blending at 100% opacity. On this new layer, paint soft white color to define casted light as pointed with the orange arrow.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 20
To add the feel of sci-fi, we will add some light flares on the wall and floor. To do this we will paint the light flares. We do this on a separate document. Create another new document (Ctrl+N) with size given below:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Create a new layer filled with black on this new document. Take brush tool (B) and hit F5 to show the brush preset. Set the brush tip and size as given. With light cyan color #53f6f8, click the brush once.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
With a smaller brush, paint white color in the middle of the cyan color.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Proceed to set the brush tip and size as given below and paint very light cyan color line (#c1fcfd) crossing the bright cyan round light.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Change again the size and tip of the brush and paint bigger line with the same light cyan color.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Finally, change the tip and size of the brush again. With this setting, paint bright thinner white line. Select all the flare layers and hit Ctrl+E to merger them into a single layer. Name this layer flare.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Optionally, we can add layer style: outer glow (layer > layer style > outer glow)
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 21
Add the flare to the main document. Place the flare layer on the topmost position in the layer panel.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Set this flare layer to color dodge. Take free transform tool (Ctrl+T). Squeeze the flare by hold-click and drag the middle left point to rightward.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Move the flare to areas where needed.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Duplicate the flare several times and add the duplicates to areas around the wall and floor. We can alter the color of the duplicates by giving prefer hue/saturation with a clipping mask.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 22
Next, create a new layer above all the other layer. Fill this layer (Shift+F5) with black. Set this layer to color dodge. On this layer, paint soft white combined with a bit blue and green color around the flares. This reference is given for inspiration.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Referring to the color given, the result should be like this:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 23
Finally, create the last new layer above all the other layer set to soft light at 100% opacity. Take the brush tool (B) for the last time. Choose a very soft round brush set at about 10% opacity to paint soft white highlight around the floor indicated by orange arrows. Name this layer soft white.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 24
While we are still active on the soft white layer which is the topmost layer in the layer panel, hit Shift+Ctrl+Alt+A to stamp all visible layers into a single layer. Name this new layer final result. Go to filter > sharpen > unsharp mask. This filter will sharpen the image a bit.
