The first part of getting your own car in DBZ Kakarot is having patience as you won't be able to get one until late in the game, until the third Saga or the Android Saga. Goku's ever-loving yet stern wife will ask him to get a license. Once you as Goku get your hands on a driving license, it's time to get this Saiyan a new car.

For this you will have to go Capsule Corp and talk to Bulma, there is an option of unlocking her R&D(Research and development) options from here. Through the R and D you can make your own cars, robots and upgrade machinery, why would someone who can literally destroy mountains and planets in wink need robots or cars still escapes us, but everyone needs their toys.

You are still a little way to getting your car though, there are 4 phases of development of your vehicle in DBZ Kakarot.

Each phase requires Iron, bolts, gear bearings, Axle Shafts and other materials, as well as a generous amount of in-game cash. So get to grinding for those materials and cash and after completing all 4 phase of the car development, Bulma will have built you your first ride.

You can find the parts in the open world, or from certain merchants, or by using the legendary Dragon balls that we all want so badly to exist in real life, and just ask the dragon to grant you your wish of getting the items.

Lastly to use your car you need to summon it, press right or left on the D-pad to cycle between your modes of transportation. Press the Up button to "summon" your vehicle of choice. To unsummon it, press Down on the D-pad.
