Running iOS 6.0 or later.
iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad 2, the new iPad, and iPod touch 5G: Nothing available right now.
iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch 4G: a tethered jailbreak is available.


1) [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and open it.

2) Place your iOS device into DFU mode. (Hold Home+Power for 10 seconds, release Power while still holding Home for an additional 10 seconds. The screen should remain black.)

3) Click Jailbreak. A few items will load, and youll be presented with a Please select your options. Ensure Install Cydia is checked, and click next. The jailbreak process will finish in about 5 minutes.

4) Once the process is complete and youre back on the Home screen, place your device back into DFU mode.

5) Go back to the main page of RedSn0w, and select Extras > Just boot. A tethered boot will be performed, and you should see Cydia on your Home screen once your device boots back up.

6) Launch Cydia, and enjoy.

NOTE: When downloading things from Cydia that need rebooting, such as Winterboard, you will need to repeat step 5, to open up any jailbreaking apps.

phlegm I'm hearing that an iOS6 jailbreak is released for the iPhone 5. Just google it, should be easy to find.

NOTE: If you do not need to, do not turn off your device or else you will have to repeat step 5. I learned that today on the bus home from school :(
