Chapter 1-Installing The HomeBrew Channel and Bootmii
Have 350 free blocks of nand space
Remove all GC controllers and GC memory cards
Don't lose power
Format SD-CARD
Use a standard SD-Card, 1-2g (SanDisk is good)
If needed, use 7-zip to extract archive files.

Part 1- Launch Hackmii Installer
As of hackmii 0.8, ios58 will be install prior to hbc install for all wiis 4.2 and less.
Below you will find many methods for loading the hackmii installer. Bannerbomb is best and is supported on 3.0-4.2 wiis. Choose the method compatible with your wii.

If you already have a softmod with HBC installed, you can update your softmod with this guide.

Note: 4.3 wiis can skip installation of ios58 and 61, and simply load Hackmii from the HBC.

Backup and Format your sd-card

Load the HomeBrew Channel
Launch Multi-Mod Manager -MMM will load

-Select Wad Manager -Press A
-Press 1, -press A -Install all wads
-IOS58 and IOS61 will install
-Press "any button"

1.0-3.2 wiis- ModChip Hack Method
You need a modchip installed on your wii
Download [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , extract the MMM-16.iso to your pc
Burn the MMM-16.iso, good and proper
Burn with ImgBurn @ 1-4x, incremental -Verbatim dvd -r is best.
You won't be using this disk for long, so try what ever media you have before you buy new disks.

Put the sd-card in your wii, boot the wii and load MMM-16
The disk will prompt to update, accept the update
Multi-Mod Manager will load
-Select Wad Manager -Press A
-Press 1, -press A -Install all wads

-Press "any button"
-Press 2- load "App Manager"
-Select hackmii_installer_v0.8 -Press A

2.0-3.4 use the Twilight Hack
Download [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and exstract to SD/
-Play The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, make a savegame
1. Put your SD card in your Wii and turn it on.
2. Go into Wii Options --> Data Management --> Save Data --> Wii.
3. Find your Zelda save, click on it, click "Erase", and click Yes.
4. Open the SD card and select the "Twilight Hack" save that corresponds to your game region. Note: Some people are having problems with the Wii not "seeing" the save file on the SD card. If you are experiencing this, try setting the archive bit for the data.bin file - in Windows this can be either be done from the file's properties dialog (right click on it in Windows Explorer and check the box) or from the command line using "attrib +a <path to data.bin>". More info at #wiihelp on Efnet.
5. Click copy and then yes. Now exit out of the menu.
6. Insert The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess game disc and run the game.
* If you have the USA version of the game, load the "TwilightHack0" or "TwilightHack2" version of the game as appropriate (see above).
* Otherwise, load the only "Twilight Hack" save game.
7. Once in the game, either walk backwards or talk to the man standing in front of you.

If you are using System Menu 3.4, you must immediately put the Twilight Hack to use. Turning off or running some other channel or game will have the System Menu delete the savegame again, and you'll have to start over. Also, 3.4 must also extract twilight-hack-v0.1-beta2.zip to sd:\ replace files when asked.
Hackmii Installer will load.
You can not install HBC yet
Install Bootmii as boot2 (if possible)
Install Bootmii as IOS


FORMAT the SD-CARD

If MMM does not load, run the Twilight hack again, it will load

-Play Lego Indiana Jones Original. Start a new game, then exit to System Menu.
-Go to wii settings, data management, save games, wii, SD
-Click SD, copy Indiana PWNS for your region
-Play Lego Indiana Jones original, load save game slot 1

When the game loads, you will be in Barnett College. Walk to the Art Room (through the Courtyard), approach the left character on the podium. When it zooms on him, choose the switch to option (two silhouettes, staggered, with an arrow pointing between them).

Part 2- Install The HomeBrew Channel and Bootmii
Read the Scam warning and press 1
It may take a minute or two for the "press 1" to appear- be patient
Install the HomeBrew Channel
Install Bootmii as Boot2(boot2 may not be available, IOS installs automatically)
Prepare the SD-card
If Step1 fails with error "no vulnerable ios", [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]





Part 3- Make A NAND Backup (NOT Optional, do this,)
Load HBC, press -HOME-, launch Bootmii
Make a nand backup
Press Power, Power, Power, Reset, Reset (or use gc-controller)
Power = Right, Eject = Left, Reset = Select
Once the backup is complete, exit bootmii to HBC
Backup your Bootmii files to your PC
sd:\bootmii
sd:\nand.bin
sd:\key.bin
*DO NOT LOSE THESE FILES*
If you want to load bootmii again at a later date, copy the bootmii folder back to sd:\

Congratulations, you now have the Homebrew Channel and bootmii installed. You have made your nand backup and are ready to move on the chapter 2. If you purchased a game to run these exploits, you may now sell them if you wish.




Chapter 2- Hacking your wii
Format the sd-card (not optional)

(4.2/4.3+ wiis can skip UPDATEPACK)

Extract to sd:\
Requires a standard SD card, 1-2g scandisk is best. SDHC cards will not work.
Run sd:\md5summer.exe
Click "Verify Sums", Select "ModPack-AnyWii.md5"
All check sums should verify without error (very important)
Click "Verify Sums" again, Select "UpdatePack.md5"
Have 350 free blocks of nand space
Remove all GC controllers and GC memory cards
Don't lose power




Part 1- Wad Installs
Start HBC, press [HOME], Launch Bootmii
Multi-Mod Manager Starts (via cboot2)
Select "WAD Manager" - Press A
Press (1) to "Install all Wads" - Press A
All wads should install without error
"Press any button to continue"
Be sure all the wads install, very important
Press B two times- main MMM menu
Never Uninstall IOS, you will brick your wii
Never Uninstall IOS, you will brick your wii




Part 2- Install System Menu 4.1 (downgrade is optional)
Why downgrade to 4.1? Downgrading is optional, it enables bannberbomb v1 & v2, and region free games for modchips. It is optional.
DO NOT do this before installing all wads without error (you will brick)

-Online Network Install
From the main menu, Select Manage System Menu, Press A
Install System Menu 4.1
Press B- main menu

Part 3- Install Priiloader (brick protection, you need this)
You should now be at the main menu of Multi-Mod Manager
Select "App Manager" -press A
Select Priiloader -Press A
Priiloader 0.4 Installer will load
Read the warning- Hold B Press +/A to install
After priiloader installs, it may give error or freeze- this is ok
Hold reset and boot wii while holding reset- priiloader will load
Select "System Menu Hacks"- Press A
Enable "Block Disk Updates", and "Block Online Updates", others if you like
4.3 wiis, enable "Bannerbomb" others if you like
If MMM loads at boot, select Manage Priiloader, Edit Priiloader Hacks, enable needed hacks.
If you don't know what the hack does- you don't need it.
Your wii should now block Disk updates and online updates.
Select load/install,
If you want to autoboot USBLOADER, install USBLoaderCFG_Forwarder.dol
If you want to autoboot HomeBrew Channel, install HBC-Forwarder.dol
NEVER UPDATE YOUR WII FROM NINTENDO- read the forum and do it yourself
Optional priiloader settings-
You can set you wii to boot the system menu, HomeBrew Channel, Priiloader, USBloader, and any other app you wish. Settings are found in priiloader, settings. Set the autoboot and return to what you like best.
Example: Set the autoboot and return to installed file, now your wii will autoboot to your USBloader or HBC- Excellent option for those with kids.





Loading Backups FAQ:
Does my wii load dvds? If it is new, probably not. Discs suck anyway, usbloading is much better. Disks must be loaded from a disk loader, like the neogamma channel installed on your wii. They will not work from the disk channel, unless you installed darkcorp. Read this for tips on burning- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Cios- you have:
Hermes- cIOS202[60]-v5.1 for WiiMC
Hermes- cIOS222[38]-v4, cIOS223[37-38]-v4, cIOS224[57]-v5.1
Wanikoko- cIOS247[37]-v20, cIOS248[56]-v20, cIOS249[38]-v17, cIOS250[57]-v20
You have all the current cios needs, so if you have any issue and so and so says use this cios, you have it.
CFG-USBLoader has been set to use cios250[57]-v20, this should load just about everything for you. But is you have games that need other cios you can use those as well. Triforce compatibility has been maintained with ios249[38]-v17
