Deep Silver has announced that Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Definitive Edition will bring the much-loved RPG to PS4 this August.

Based on the Pathfinder tabletop game, Kingmaker was successfully funded via Kickstarter back in 2017, releasing on PC in 2018. The game is set in the Stolen Lands and features an isometric view and gameplay that will be familiar to anyone who has played a classic CRPG. The Definitive Edition also includes all of the previously released DLC as well as a new turn-based mode to choose from.

"The turn-based mode brings the game even closer to the tabletop experience, providing the players with more precise control over the battlefield. Our point was to have both modes - real-time with pause and the new turn-based mode - in a perfect co-existence so players can smoothly switch between both to adjust the gameplay at any time to their needs," explained Owlcat Games boss Oleg Shpilchevskiy.

"It settles the long-running debate among the fans which mode is better for Kingmaker since they can go from an action-oriented real-time combat style to a more tactical one within a single encounter."

Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Definitive Edition launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 18th August 2020.
