I_R_CEREAL wrote I am a Christian. And I'm not afraid to say it. It should stay in the pledge. If athiests dont want it in the pledge then they dont have to say it. Simple. No need to reteach the pledge because of one Word!!
Couldn't have said it better myself

I am Catholic and I am proud of it. The pledge of allegiance means nothing to me at all, but I'm not American. My allegiance is to England and God and thats it, I agree with the crusades coz it's Gods will, just my opinion.

Here is what I say, Even if you don't believe in him, there aren't enough athiests, wiccans, pagans, and such to keep it out, so just deal with it, if you don't like the fact, don't say the pledge, big whoop.
