That happened to me quite alot, I have had about 9 head sets, and 5 of them were the original xbox ones, and they are crap, i had a wirless one, and it "over charged" and broke, And i gave my other wireless one away, Then i had turtle beach XLC and i was messin about with them and they snapped in half, and now ive got Turtle Beach x11's, I've had them for months and have never had a problem with them, They are great (:

-LunchBoxMoe- wroteit didnt work for me. i have a xbox arcade too so that might be affecting it tooJapps wrote-LunchBoxMoe- wroteJapps wrote My xbox 360 mic broke recently and i can hear everything but i cant talk... i got my friends mic too that works perfectly fine and i couldnt talk through that either but i could hear. I have tried this on both of my xbox controllers and have changed all my settings on my account to see if that was making it so that i couldnt talk to people. but none of that effected if i could talk or not.
Turn on your xbox and plug in the mic to the controller while the controller is on.
Then take out your mic and turn off the xbox by the button on the xbox.
Turn on the xbox with the controller but the mic stays unplugged.
They shut the off the xbox with the controller.
Then turn on the xbox with the controller and the mic plugged in.
What this does is reset the controller and mic.
really? it resets the controller and mic?
Yup!

Your type of xbpx has nothing to do with it. Your Xbox 360 mic is broke.
What this does is reset the controller and mic.
